i love our new kitchen. (dishwasher!!!) it is one million times better than the kitchen in our old apartment, seriously.

unfortunately, the cookies i made yesterday turned out to be as flat as pancakes. to make me feel better, reed has been pretending that they still taste okay, even though we both know that they don’t.

just in time for fall, i have sewed (sewn?) myself a summer tank top.

at some point during the move, i found this fabric in a box that hadn’t been opened in a few years. then, the other day, i was bored, and made a tank top similar to this one i made once.
except i made it too big, and had to put a button on it, somewhat off-centered.

i enjoy being remotely capable of sewing my own clothes though. i can’t really think of a moment when i’m more proud of myself then when i triumphantly hold up something i’ve just finished sewing.

i can’t believe it’s september today. everything seems to have gone by so quickly recently.

tayvee wasn’t too crazy about swinging. she liked it for about two seconds.
it is so nice though – there is a park just three blocks from our apartment.

we finally got internet at our apartment today! in it’s absence this past week, i have been reading like crazy. i think a new goal for me is to not spend as much time online – more reading instead.

i just finished this book, and i really enjoyed it. has anyone else read it?

it’s so nice having our bed in an actual bedroom now, and tayvee loves having her own bedroom too.
we have the perfect amount of space!
